SLS Trainings

Trainings are the heart of SLS, giving Arrowmen the chance to grow as leaders, gain practical knowledge, and connect with others across the section.

Throughout the weekend, Arrowmen can choose from sessions that combine leadership development with creative, hands-on approaches to today’s challenges and experiences. From improving lodge operations and fostering inclusive environments to building personal skills and exploring new interests, every session gives participants practical lessons to bring back to their chapter, lodge, and daily life.

Description: Dive into communication strategies that bring advisers and Arrowmen closer together. This training helps participants build understanding, bridge age gaps, and create strong, respectful partnerships that fuel leadership growth and drive shared success.

Description: Get ready to take the next step in your OA journey! This training helps Arrowmen review Brotherhood requirements, practice what they need to know, and build confidence to continue their path toward full membership.

Description: Dive into the world of OA patches and memorabilia! Participants will learn what makes a patch valuable, how they’re designed and made, and get tips for trading and auctions, arming them with the knowledge to navigate the patch-collecting world like a pro.

Description: Step into your role as a new adult member in the OA and Scouting. This training equips participants with the skills to support youth leaders, offer guidance without taking over, and foster growth through effective mentorship.

Description: Take a fun dive into today’s youth culture and communication. Participants will learn the language, understand generational perspectives, and pick up practical tips to connect with younger Arrowmen while strengthening adviser-advisee relationships.

Description: The ACT Conference helps lodge leaders Adapt to challenges, Collaborate with peers across the section, and Thrive as high-performing lodges. Through proven leadership strategies and practical exercises, participants gain skills they can immediately apply to strengthen their lodges and make a meaningful impact.

Description: Learn how to keep American Indian Activities (AIA) alive and thriving in your lodge. Participants will discover how to form a dance team, run respectful and engaging powwows, and create a positive cultural environment that honors tradition while encouraging active participation.
